Wrapping Up Romans in the Kingdom

Concluding Romans with chapters 15 and 16, the clue by which we chronologically place Romans in the story that is the book of Acts is found here in verses 25 and 26. We have considerable final #9, New Life instruction with the first 7 verses, and that much of it can be derived from study of the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible according to verse 4. A key word found in chapter 15 is ‘hope,’ as a noun seen in verse 4 and twice in verse 13. It means ‘confident expectation’! It is ours by #7, faith in the truth says verses 8 and 13. This truth can only be #5, the Gospel we see in verses 16, 19 and 20. And even here, we find our necessity of #1, righteousness with verses 14 and 16. Why such confident expectation due to the truth that is the Gospel? Because of #8, the New Birth told us by the noun ‘mercy’ in verse 9, which is a sure reference to our salvation! Be confident. Believe the Gospel and be saved!

Concluding with chapter 16, and some final #9, New Life instruction we can see in verses 17 thru 19; we end with the loveliest doxology of praise unto God in verses 25 thru 27. Within it, we can find #5, the Gospel, #4, the Savior, the necessity for #7, faith, and with mention of glory to the only wise God forever, we find ourselves in #10, the Kingdom!

Romans has been a massive tower of Christian theological truth. By it we learn precisely what God requires of every man, #1, Righteousness; but how that all men are bound over to #2, sin, and are under the most sure penalty of #3, severe judgment. Our only hope is in #4, the Savior, and what He did for us when He died for our sins and rose from the dead; which is #5, the Gospel. Only if we rightly respond to God in #6, repentance and #7, believe on Jesus Christ and His work on the Cross for all our sins, will God visit that truly penitent believer with His #8, New Birth  and means of living a whole #9, New Life in Christ right on up until the day when this life, here on earth comes to its end, at which time the saved person will go on up to immediately enter into God’s eternal #10 Kingdom now in heaven. To the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen. It’s what the Book is all about!
